IP ADDRESS SETTING FOR WINDOWS VISTA

1. To configure the ip address in vista, try these steps:
a. Click Start and click Control Panel
b. Select Network and Internet Options and select Network and Sharing Center, then select Network Connection Manager
c. In the window that appears, right-click Local Area Connection and click Properties
d. Select Internet protocol (TCP / IP) from the list and select Properties
e. Select the option Use the following IP address
f. Enter the IP address and subnet mask. Default Gateway option does not need to be filled this computer will not connect to the Internet
g. Click OK

2. Vista computer to connect to local networks are trying to do this step
a. Click Start, Control Panel
b. Select System and Maintenance
c. Click the System
d. In the Computer Name option, the domain and work group settings, click Change settings
e. In the window that appears. Click Continue
f. Member of the sheet, select Domain, and enter the appropriate domain name, then click Ok
h. You will be prompted to enter your account name with permissions to connect to your domain Enter the desired information and click OK
i. click Close on the Menu that appears, click Restart Now to restart the computer
